Air Canada has outlined its plans for the upcoming 2026 summer season, noting that several new European routes will be added to its network. All services will begin operating in June and continue into early autumn, each offered three times per week. The airline will also reinstate its Montréal to Tel Aviv flights for the summer season. These adjustments form part of a wider operational update intended to match anticipated long haul travel trends next year.

According to the released timetable, the new programme expands nonstop options from major Canadian hubs. Air Canada plans to offer several routes, each scheduled three times weekly:

  • Montréal to Berlin
  • Montréal to Nantes
  • Toronto to Ponta Delgada (Azores)
  • Halifax to Brussels
  • Montréal to Tel Aviv (seasonal return)

The additions increase the number of direct services available during the busiest period of the summer.

Berlin, which joins the Montréal network, gives travellers access to a major European centre shaped by historic landmarks, modern districts and long established cultural venues. Nantes provides access to the wider Loire Valley region, an area recognised for its riverside towns, historic buildings and well preserved cultural sites. Together, these links add more European cities that travellers can reach without changing planes, which may appeal to those planning cultural trips or looking to explore the region more easily in summer.

The Toronto–Ponta Delgada connection offers a direct route to São Miguel, an island known for volcanic landscapes, crater lakes, striking coastal scenery and regular opportunities to observe marine wildlife. The Halifax-Brussels route offers another way to reach Western Europe, with easy rail connections to other nearby capitals. Both destinations are different from the usual summer vacation spots and may be a good option for travelers who want to see nature or visit quieter corners of Europe.

The revised schedule gives travelers more options for planning their summer 2026 trips. The wider range of nonstop flights reduces reliance on connecting routes and may shorten overall travel time, simplifying itinerary decisions. The adjustments also reflect growing interest in travel patterns that combine city exploration, regional sightseeing or nature based activities, encouraging passengers to consider a more diverse set of European destinations when arranging summer plans.
