Emirates will introduce its Airbus A350 on the Montréal–Dubai route from 1 February 2026, replacing the Boeing 777 currently used on the daily service. Montréal becomes the first destination in the airline’s Americas network to receive this aircraft type. The switch also brings Premium Economy to Canada for the first time, adding a new cabin choice for passengers travelling between the two cities without altering the existing flight schedule.

The A350 comes with the airline’s latest interior design and updated cabin layout. It offers 32 Business Class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, 28 Premium Economy seats with extra legroom, and 238 seats in Economy Class. Emirates highlights the modern features introduced on this aircraft, noting that the updated layout is intended to give passengers more space and a more comfortable long-haul experience when flying in or out of Montréal.

The daily EK243/244 flights will continue to operate as usual, with the following schedule:

EK243 (Dubai → Montréal)

  • Departure: 02:45
  • Arrival: 07:35

EK244 (Montréal → Dubai)

  • Departure: 10:40
  • Arrival: 08:00 (next day)

With the addition of the A350, passengers will also have access to expanded dining options, updated in-flight entertainment with thousands of channels, and a quieter cabin environment designed for long journeys.

The new aircraft makes it easier to handle long-haul travel and gives people flying to or from Montréal a more straightforward way to plan their journey. Dubai remains a major gateway for connections across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia, and the update gives travellers more comfortable options on one of the busiest international corridors. Through the airline’s partnership with Air Canada, passengers can also link to dozens of destinations throughout Canada and the United States.

This move is another sign of how airlines are preparing for increased demand on transatlantic routes. For travellers, the change brings more comfort, an extra cabin choice, and a better onboard experience on a long journey. With the Montréal route gaining the A350 and Premium Economy, passengers now have a wider range of options when planning trips that involve one of North America’s key hubs and one of the world’s most connected cities.
