Marriott International has announced a large-scale expansion of its branded residences across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company now operates in 18 countries across the region, with 33 locations open and more than 50 under development. These properties combine the familiarity of a private home with the convenience of hotel services - a style increasingly favoured by people spending longer periods abroad.

Since the end of 2023, the company’s residential portfolio has increased by 23% in Europe and 59% in the Middle East and Africa. The latest developments include luxury projects such as The Residences at The Dubai Beach EDITION, JW Marriott Residences Dubai Islands Central, and The Residences at The St.Regis Baku. Marriott has also confirmed new signings in Budapest, Cairo, Jeddah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

“With 25 years at the forefront of branded residences, Marriott continues to drive record residential growth and development velocity across EMEA. Our expanding branded residence portfolio and robust pipeline reflect strong market demand and developer success. Backed by the power of the Marriott Bonvoy brand portfolio, developers are delivering high-performing projects and vibrant communities in premier destinations."
Jaidev Menezes, Marriott International Regional Vice President, Mixed-Use Development, EMEA

The expansion shows that more people are choosing places where they can have both independence and comfort. Many of these homes include spas, concierge desks, and restaurants, giving residents the service of a hotel with the feel of a private home. They attract working professionals and families who want reliable accommodation near beaches, city centres, or business areas.

These new projects show how Marriott’s branded residences are changing where people choose to stay and invest across EMEA. With developments in Budapest, Bodrum, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the Algarve, guests will find more options for both short visits and long stays. Many of these properties are close to business areas or beaches, giving easy access to city attractions and coastal views.

This move strengthens Marriott’s position in the growing extended-stay sector and offers travellers new ways to experience cities and resorts across EMEA. It also shows how travel is adjusting to the way people live now, with flexibility, comfort, and a sense of familiarity becoming just as important as the destination itself. Whether working remotely, spending the winter by the sea, or investing in a managed residence, guests can now expect consistent service and comfort in more corners of the world.
