Long-Haul Incentives and Airline Loyalty Offers Post-Christmas Flight Sales Take Off in Edinburgh

After the Christmas rush, airlines have rolled out a broad set of flight and holiday discounts departing from Edinburgh. The sales launched in late December and extend into January and February 2026, depending on the carrier. Offers cover short-haul, long-haul and package travel, giving Edinburgh-based travellers a wide range of booking options for trips planned later in the year.

Early Deals Closing Before Year-End

Several airline promotions are currently available and will end before the close of December. These offers apply to a limited number of winter services departing in the coming weeks.

• Pegasus Airlines has introduced fares starting at £7 plus taxes on selected flights to Istanbul. The promotion is open for bookings until 29 December 2025.
• Atlantic Airways has launched savings of up to 20% on flights to the Faroe Islands for tickets booked between 26 and 29 December.

These offers are among the earliest to appear following Christmas.

January Sales Across European Airlines

Several European carriers have extended their discounts into January, targeting travel later in the winter and into spring 2026.

• Loganair is offering a 17% reduction on net airfares across its network as part of its Tartan Sale. The discount applies to travel starting on 2 February 2026, with bookings available until 8 January.
• Aer Lingus flights scheduled between 12 January and 12 June 2026 are available with discounts of up to 25% on selected services. Tickets under this promotion can be booked until 20 January.

These offers mainly cover short-haul and European routes.

Long-Haul Incentives and Airline Loyalty Offers

Longer-distance travel is also included in the post-Christmas sales. Emirates is awarding double Skywards Miles to members who register and book eligible flights by 31 December 2025. Finnair has launched reduced one-way fares starting at £94, available for booking between 8 and 22 January 2026. British Airways has confirmed the return of its annual January sale across its network.

Package Holidays and What This Opens Up

Tour operators have added large-scale discounts on holiday packages alongside flight-only deals.

• TUI is offering savings of up to £500 on selected holidays until 31 January 2026.
• Jet2holidays has announced £100 per person off holidays, with a £25 deposit on summer 2026 bookings, ending 13 January.
• easyJet holidays is offering up to 40% off package holidays and up to £300 off city breaks.

Together, these offers widen the range of destinations and travel periods accessible from Edinburgh, particularly for those planning trips well beyond the winter season.
