Lionesses run away from a bold elephant: breathtaking wildlife video

Animal watchers from Animal Sighting shared a video from the wild. It shows an unusual situation when an elephant tries to chase lionesses.
The footage shows lionesses crossing the path of a pack of large animals. One of them does not hesitate to drive the lionesses out of the field, thesouthafrican writes.
This event surprised animal lovers, because in the wild, two lions can kill an elephant. However, in this video there is no fight, only a bold decision of the elephant and the escape of the lionesses.
It should be noted that lionesses weigh from 120 to 150 kg. Lions live in large family groups - prides. Mostly females hunt and care for cubs, while males guard the territory. Some prides specialize in one type of prey, for example, elephants. An adult male can eat more than 30 kg of meat at a time.
At the same time, an adult elephant weighs 3-5 tons. Indian elephants are kept in herds of 15-100 individuals, with an old female in charge.
The video footage of a lion and an elephant was shared by representatives of the Masai tribe.
