The prestigious 2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide has been unveiled, once again recognizing Jin House at Four Seasons Tianjin with the esteemed Black Pearl One-diamond accolade. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Jin House has secured a spot on this illustrious list, maintaining its status as the sole hotel-based restaurant in Tianjin to consistently achieve this prestigious recognition. The Black Pearl Chef’s Week will run from February 29 to March 14, 2024, promising an unforgettable culinary journey for discerning connoisseurs.
Located on the 7th floor of the Four Seasons hotel, Jin House is renowned for its showcase of authentic Cantonese cuisine alongside seasonally innovative contemporary creations. Boasting an elegant sunken dining hall adorned with 11 private dining rooms, the restaurant exudes opulence with its design highlights, including a mesmerizing lighting concept reminiscent of a celestial galaxy.
At the helm of Jin House's culinary team is Chinese Executive Chef Albert Li, whose journey began in Guangzhou under the mentorship of a Cantonese master chef with decades of experience. Chef Albert then honed his craft in high-end Cantonese restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai, fostering a deep understanding of Chinese fine dining. Reflecting on his culinary philosophy, Chef Albert emphasizes the perpetual pursuit of excellence, stating, "There is no end to cultivating craftsmanship. There will be milestones along the way, but there is never a best. The original intention of constantly pursuing better remains unchanged."
The highlight of the culinary calendar, the annual Black Pearl Chef’s Week at Jin House, is set to commence on February 29, 2024. Chef Albert will unveil an eight-course set menu showcasing his innovative interpretations of contemporary Cantonese cuisine, each dish infused with unique twists on traditional flavors. Guests can anticipate delights such as Foie Gras Tartare with Strawberry and Caviar, Double-Boiled Abalone Soup with Perilla, and Deep-Fried Beef Ribs with Lime Foam.
