Jet2 Expands Christmas Flights to Gdańsk for Winter 2026

Jet2 has confirmed plans to expand its seasonal Christmas flight programme to Gdańsk in winter 2026, following strong demand in recent years. The airline will add new departure points at London Gatwick and East Midlands, while continuing services from Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle. The schedule is aimed at supporting winter city breaks linked to festive travel.
The expanded Christmas programme covers the late-November to mid-December period of the 2026 winter season, when festive travel demand traditionally peaks. Jet2 has positioned the flights within its seasonal network in response to growing interest in short winter city breaks. Gdańsk continues to attract visitors during this period thanks to its historic setting and established Christmas market.
Alongside the new routes, Jet2 will maintain its existing Christmas services to Gdańsk from Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle. These routes were also operated during the current winter season and will return for 2026 with a similar focus on leisure travel. The airline has confirmed that all Christmas services will run twice a week across the programme.
The expanded schedule improves access to one of Poland’s best-known winter destinations. Gdańsk’s Old Town hosts a large Christmas market, set against medieval architecture and waterfront streets, while nearby coastal towns and historic cities remain within easy reach. The flights are well suited to short stays and weekend visits before Christmas.
With more UK airports linked to Gdańsk during the festive season, winter travel options continue to diversify beyond the usual Christmas hubs. The expansion points to growing demand for Christmas city breaks beyond the usual destinations. With more UK departure points in place, December travel to Gdańsk in 2026 becomes easier to plan, particularly for travellers looking to avoid the busiest European markets while still experiencing a traditional festive atmosphere.
