Jet2 Brings La Rochelle Within Direct Reach
Jet2 will add a direct Birmingham–La Rochelle service to its summer 2027 programme, opening a new link between the Midlands and France’s Atlantic coast. The route will be available as flight-only bookings and through Jet2holidays packages using Eurocamp accommodation. La Rochelle becomes Jet2’s fifth French destination served from Birmingham, alongside Bergerac, Chambéry, Grenoble and Nice, following continued advance-booking demand in the region.

The new route also expands Jet2holidays’ Eurocamp programme for summer 2027. Travellers arriving at La Rochelle Airport will have 21 parks to choose from across Charente-Maritime, Gironde and Vendée. Jet2 is adding another 34 parks in Spain, Italy, Croatia and northern France, bringing its total Eurocamp selection to 146. Accommodation includes mobile homes with private outdoor areas, although facilities vary between individual parks.
The flight puts La Rochelle’s port and Atlantic waterfront within easier reach of Birmingham, while the included car hire offered with packages widens the area visitors can explore. Île de Ré, known for sandy beaches and cycle trails, is nearby, as are the vineyards, pine forests and riverside towns of western France. Parks across Vendée, Gironde and Charente-Maritime also provide bases for longer regional trips.
A weekly Saturday flight will suit seven or 14-night holidays better than short, flexible breaks, so dates will matter when comparing it with services through other airports. The route removes the need for a connection or a lengthy drive after landing elsewhere in France, but package customers should check each park’s facilities and cleaning arrangements. Early planning will offer the widest choice across the limited summer operating window.
