"It seemed like the end!" Passengers on Emirates flight was thrown to the ceiling by extreme turbulence
Several passengers aboard Emirates flight EK421, en route from Perth, Australia, to Dubai, were injured after the plane encountered unexpected severe turbulence.
The incident resulted in several passengers and crew members being thrown up to the ceiling of the plane. Some passengers shared their experience and the aftermath on X (formerly Twitter) after the terrifying journey.
"Had the worst flight back from Perth to Dubai with @emirates," wrote one user named @MattRPD. "I really felt like it was over when we hit the ceiling twice and broke it. Glad to be home."
The caption was accompanied by a photo showing a large crack in the ceiling.
Another passenger wrote about the "terrifying" trip and shared photos of cracks in the ceiling that caught their hair.
They added that while the crew did "everything they could" to treat the injured and support everyone, the overall experience was "very scary."
