InterContinental Opens Its First Luxury Resort in the Greek Islands
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has announced the grand opening of InterContinental Crete, the brand’s first luxury resort in the Greek Islands. Located near the coastal city of Agios Nikolaos, this property marks a significant expansion for IHG Hotels & Resorts, now boasting the second-largest luxury portfolio worldwide.
The resort, situated on a pristine stretch of Crete's coastline, offers panoramic views of Mirabello Bay and features modern architecture integrated with state-of-the-art amenities. InterContinental Crete aims to redefine the luxury travel experience with its innovative approach and cultural immersion. The capital city, Heraklion, and its airport are less than an hour’s drive away, making the resort easily accessible for international travelers.
InterContinental Crete includes two outdoor infinity pools, a wellness center, and three restaurants led by Michelin-starred Chef Consultant Nikos Roussos. The dining options emphasize Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. The resort also features a range of family-friendly facilities, making it an ideal destination for couples and families alike.
