Indoor Mega City to Open Near London With Games, VR and Laser Arenas

A new £11 million indoor attraction is set to open in Slough on 30 May, bringing a mix of arcade games, sports-style activities and digital experiences under one roof. The venue, called Mega City, spans three floors and is designed to cater to a wide range of visitors. It brings together traditional entertainment with newer tech-based formats in a single indoor setting.
Visitors will find more than 130 arcade machines alongside ten bowling lanes. The venue also includes a large laser tag arena, able to host up to 24 players at once, as well as additional challenges such as a laser maze and laser raid. These are combined with physical activities like batting cages and interactive sports experiences using augmented reality.
Virtual reality zones are also part of the offer, alongside areas for more traditional leisure activities such as pool tables, karaoke rooms and private event spaces. Interactive features include Flashpads, which use floor tiles for reaction-based games, and a Digital Box Room for immersive gameplay. A cashless system allows visitors to collect points on a card and exchange them for prizes.

- Laser tag arena and additional laser challenges

Its location close to Slough Station, around eight minutes on foot, places it within easy reach of central London via the Elizabeth Line. This makes it a practical addition for short trips, group outings or day visits. Being fully indoors also means plans don’t depend on the weather, which matters in the UK.
“We wanted to create a place where different generations can enjoy shared experiences, feel welcome and make real memories."
The venue brings another indoor place near London where different activities are kept together. Instead of moving between locations, everything is on site. Spaces like this are becoming more common, combining games, sport and social areas. It gives more flexibility in how time is spent, whether it’s a quick visit or a longer stay.
