Hyatt makes its debut in Montenegro with the opening of Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort
Last week, a luxury hotel Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort was opened in Montenegro in the Bay of Kotor on the Adriatic Sea. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city of Kotor, where the hotel is located, was included in the Forbes list as one of the 20 best places to visit in 2020. Since Venetian times, this area has been known for its healing properties, as well as the positive effects of the sea and wind on respiratory health, writes Forbes.
Hyatt explained its choice of location for the new hotel by the fact that Montenegro has a significant presence in European coastal tourism, largely due to its reputation as one of the most beautiful cities on the Balkan Peninsula.
What we know about the new Hyatt hotel in Montenegro
Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort features a natural beach and two outdoor pools, including an infinity pool. Spa Soul, the resort's spa center with a heated indoor pool, steam room, and sauna, offers state-of-the-art spa and beauty treatments, as well as the country's only Turkish hammam.
The hotel boasts six dining options. It offers first-class Mediterranean cuisine, and you can also try modern Balkan cuisine made from local products that are prepared from farm to table. The resort will also have a piano bar, a beach restaurant and bar, and a pool bar.
It is emphasized that after the completion of the renovation, Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort will have 205 rooms with ecological design and 47 suites with a magnificent view of the Bay of Kotor and its natural surroundings. The resort itself is known for its state-of-the-art wellness, rehabilitation and aesthetic treatments.
The first Hyatt property in Montenegro will offer visitors "a rare close-up view of the region's most protected and dramatic landscapes."
What Kotor Bay is known for
Thanks to its abundance of natural resources, Kotor Bay is an ideal destination for those who want to relax in nature at any time of the year. Guests are invited to see the famous wild beauty of Montenegro while kayaking, stand-up paddling, jeep safari excursions or private boat tours.
Those who are not adventurous can choose to catch the first rays of the morning sun in the resort's pool area or relax with individually prepared aqua gymnastics, a Tai Chi or yoga session.
