Kayak the Adriatic

Embark on a journey south, starting from the small port to the right of the Pile Gate. Don't worry if you lack experience, as instructors and other novice kayakers will accompany you. During this tour, you'll paddle around Lokrum Island and make a stop at a secluded cave beach called Betina.

Most tour operators include lunch in the tour package, allowing you more time to explore and less time waiting in line. While your arms may tire, you'll cherish every moment amidst the Adriatic landscape.

How to Book a Kayaking Tour

Upon disembarking from your shuttle bus in front of the Pile Gate, you'll encounter several vendors advertising these tours. They usually hold a kayak paddle, making them easy to spot.

Cost of a Kayaking Tour

"My tour cost 45 USD / 33 EUR per person. If you're in a group, you can ask for a discount like we did and save some money on your holiday. Our tour included lunch," shared the expert.

Walk the Walls - A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Dubrovnik's Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, characterized by its ancient surrounding walls. Constructed between the 13th and 16th centuries, these walls served as fortifications for the city.

Walking along the walls and through the Old Town, you'll feel as though you've stepped back in time.

For 30 euros, you can explore the walls at your leisure, and trust me, you'll want to spend the entire day there. The entrance fee contributes to the repair and maintenance of the walls by a local society. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance, located through the Pile Gate on your left.

Stroll through Gunduliceva Poljana Market

Situated near the Princely Palace and the Cathedral, the Gunduliceva Poljana market has operated at this site since 1892. It offers seasonal fruits, vegetables, cheese, olives, honey, spices, and homemade souvenirs.

Explore the Alleyways and Admire Medieval Architecture

Within the old walls, there's no risk of getting lost, so put away your map and wander. Immerse yourself in the culture and history, with centuries-old churches and beautiful fountains to discover. Don't miss the Rector's Palace, the Franciscan Monastery, and the Pharmacy of the Little Brothers, the third oldest operating pharmacy globally. Visit the opposite side of the walls from the Pile Gate, where you'll find boats, restaurants, and a seafood market.
