Hilton Lines Up New Hotels Across Ireland

Hilton will bring the DoubleTree brand to the Republic of Ireland for the first time after signing a 156-room hotel in Ashbourne, County Meath. Due to open in early 2027, the property follows the recent launch of Home2 Suites in Dublin and a new Tapestry Collection signing in Cork. Alongside further projects in Northern Ireland, the expansion is expected to create more than 150 jobs.
Hilton Hotels Open and in Development
- Ashbourne, County Meath: A 156-room DoubleTree due to open in early 2027, becoming the brand’s first property in the Republic of Ireland
- Dublin city centre: The 290-suite Home2 Suites is now open near O’Connell Street
- Cork city centre: A 103-room Tapestry Collection hotel is expected to open in 2027
- Belfast: DoubleTree Belfast City Ten Square has been signed, while a 144-room Tempo hotel is also planned
- Derry-Londonderry: A new DoubleTree property has been signed for the city
The Ashbourne hotel will be fully refurbished before reopening under the DoubleTree name, with upgrades planned for its rooms, public areas, restaurants and bars. It will sit around 25 minutes from Dublin Airport. In the capital, Home2 Suites is already offering apartment-style stays near O’Connell Street, while the planned Cork hotel will combine standard rooms, longer-stay accommodation, dining and fitness facilities.
The new properties will support several types of trip across Ireland. Ashbourne offers access to both Dublin and County Meath, including the Hill of Tara and Newgrange. Home2 Suites suits longer stays in central Dublin, while the Cork hotel will place guests close to South Terrace. Belfast and Derry-Londonderry will also gain more Hilton options for city breaks and business travel.
Hilton’s expansion is adding more than rooms in new locations. The group is bringing different formats to Ireland, including extended-stay suites, lifestyle hotels and converted city properties. Some projects are already open, while others remain scheduled for 2027, so travellers should check confirmed launch dates before booking. The wider pipeline also shows that Hilton is targeting regional bases as well as major city centres.
