From Coast to Castle: Tel Aviv–Bratislava Flights Begin

A direct flight route now connects Tel Aviv with Bratislava every Thursday from May 29 to October 23, 2025. Operated by Arkia Israeli Airlines, this seasonal link expands Slovakia’s air connections with Israel. The Bratislava service complements an existing Sunday route between Tel Aviv and Piešťany. Both destinations are located in western Slovakia, providing more options for summer travelers interested in cultural visits, spa stays, or short regional trips.
The Bratislava-bound aircraft arrives in the evening and returns to Tel Aviv the same night. As for Piešťany, planes still touch down there once a week, every Sunday, keeping that route active for those eyeing the spa town. This schedule allows Israeli tourists to choose between two arrival days depending on their preferences. The Bratislava route was introduced following a noticeable increase in demand from Israel and aims to improve regional accessibility during the summer tourism season.
Florentin in Tel Aviv is a neighborhood filled with bold graffiti, tucked-away studios and tiny galleries. It is the kind of place where every wall seems to have something to say and every side street feels like a surprise. The old Tel Aviv Port has been turned into a public space where people walk near the sea, grab food from stalls and enjoy the open air instead of cargo and cranes. Both spots sit right inside the city and are places people often check out before heading to the airport.
Bratislava features historic sites within walking distance of central arrival points. Michael’s Gate, part of the city’s former fortifications, leads into the old town and reflects medieval urban design. Nearby, the Danube riverfront includes paved paths and open public areas often used for walking or cycling. Visitors arriving by plane can reach these areas on foot without needing additional transport from the airport or rail station.

The new route provides an additional non-stop connection between Israel and Slovakia during peak travel months. If someone wants to visit Bratislava or stay for just a few days, this flight means they can skip the extra stops in other countries and fly straight there. Planning trips gets simpler this way, and it also shows that travel habits are changing between places like Israel and parts of Central Europe.
