On March 28, 2024, as part of Women's History Month, Bourbon Steak presents culinary innovations dedicated to women in the food and beverage industry. The executive chef, along with chefs Scheyla Acosta and Michelle Pote, creates a four-course dinner at the Bourbon Steak patio.
Accompanied by a selection of wines curated by female winemakers, the event supports the regional branch of Les Dames d'Escoffier DC. This initiative reflects support for women's achievements in the culinary sphere and contributes to the development of female professional networks. The wine selection curated by female winemakers adds a special flavor and uniqueness to the event.
Lead bartender Engidawork Alebachew creates a seasonal menu of innovative cocktails, including the refreshing "Power of Pink" featuring strawberry vodka and goji berry liqueur. Chef Welch delights palates with a spring dish of snapper crudo adorned with tart cherry leche de tigre.
Under the guidance of spa director Erin Meyer, the Spa offers relaxation in luxurious spa suites. Guests can experience Japanese cherry blossom rituals, an 80-minute procedure that reveals skin's softness and radiance through a delicate cherry blossom scrub, followed by a rice scrub, and then the tenderness of lime oil for nourishment and rejuvenation. The procedure concludes with the richness of plum silk cream.
Executive chef Bilal Wshah invites guests to savor Pan-Asian delicacies in honor of cherry blossom season. From poke bowls to homemade Peking duck, the brunch offers a variety of culinary delights. Executive pastry chef Ashish Thalakkat presents a dessert room with spring-themed confections.
