Flydubai has announced a record profit of AED 11.2 billion for 2023, an increase of AED 2.1 billion compared to 2022. This remarkable growth highlights the airline's sustained expansion and its significant contribution to the Dubai economy.
According to Khaleej Times, Flydubai is recruiting 1,000 new employees to support its fleet and route network expansion, primarily pilots, flight attendants, and engineers who will ensure smooth operations and a high level of service.
The airline transported 13.8 million passengers in 2023, a 31% increase from 2022. Demand for Flydubai flights surged in the Gulf, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the GCC, and Europe.
Flydubai added 17 new routes to its network of 122 destinations in 52 countries. Additionally, Flydubai's fleet was augmented with 13 new Boeing 737 aircraft, bringing the total fleet to 84 aircraft.
Despite the record-breaking performance, Flydubai faces significant fuel costs, which have risen substantially.
