Qatar Airways has confirmed the return of daily flights between Doha and key cities in the Middle East, bringing back regular connections to the United Arab Emirates and Syria. Services to Dubai and Sharjah will restart on 23 April 2026, followed by the reintroduction of daily flights to Damascus from 1 May. The move marks another step in rebuilding the airline’s network.

The airline said the restored routes form part of a broader plan to gradually rebuild operations across its global network. Earlier updates confirmed that by mid-June 2026, Qatar Airways expects to serve more than 150 destinations worldwide. The latest additions strengthen links within the Middle East, reconnecting major hubs and regional cities after a period of reduced operations.

Passengers booked to travel between 28 February and 15 September 2026 have a range of options available. Dates can be changed without extra fees up to 31 October 2026 when rebooking on Qatar Airways flights, depending on availability and fare rules. Refunds for unused tickets are also possible, although processing may take a few weeks depending on each case.

The resumed flights improve access across the Gulf and the Levant. Dubai and Sharjah act as gateways to the wider UAE, including coastal resorts, desert landscapes and key business centres. Damascus is among the oldest cities still inhabited today, with well-known historic sites, traditional markets and cultural landmarks. Many of these places have had limited direct international access in recent years.

The return of these routes points to a steady recovery in regional connections alongside long-haul travel. Daily flights give more choice when planning trips, especially when direct services cut out extra stops. Flexible booking options also remain in place, allowing changes or refunds if plans need to shift due to schedule updates or other travel-related disruptions.
