This summer, Air India is set to enhance its flight services to three key European destinations—Amsterdam, Milan, and Copenhagen—responding to the increasing demand for travel between India and Europe. The national carrier has been expanding its international routes as global travel recovers, further bolstering its operations with an increased fleet size.

Beginning June 22, Air India will elevate its Amsterdam service from four to a daily schedule, and its Milan flights from five times a week to daily operations. Additionally, Copenhagen will see an increase to five weekly flights. This expansion is part of Air India's strategic initiative to strengthen its presence in the European market and provide more options to its customers.

Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD of Air India, stated, "Expanding our global network is a cornerstone of Air India’s transformation journey. The increased flights to Europe not only reflect the growing demand for travel between these destinations but also our commitment to enhancing customer choice and convenience."

The airline operates its routes to Europe using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which offers 18 flat beds in business class and 236 seats in economy, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers. This aircraft is favored for its efficiency and passenger-friendly amenities, making it ideal for connecting India with Europe.

In addition to the increased flights to Amsterdam, Milan, and Copenhagen, Air India's overall services to mainland Europe will soon include 80 weekly flights covering seven cities: Amsterdam Schiphol, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan Malpensa, Paris CDG, Vienna, and Zurich starting June 16.

Air India's expansion is part of its broader transformation plan, Vihaan.AI, which emphasizes network growth and fleet enhancement. With a recent order of 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing and several widebodies on short-term lease, the airline is well-equipped to extend its long-haul offerings.

Moreover, Air India holds the unique position of being the only Indian carrier offering non-stop flights to North America, connecting major cities across the United States and Canada from its hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
