Etihad Airways Welcomes 10 Millionth Loyalty Member, Enhancing Travel Experience

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is celebrating a significant milestone as its loyalty program, Etihad Guest, reaches 10 million members. This milestone marks a new era in enhancing the travel experience for Etihad's passengers.

The achievement signifies the rapid growth and popularity of Etihad Guest, which has seen a 25% increase in membership since the beginning of 2023. Mark Potter, Managing Director of Etihad Guest, emphasized the program’s success and its continuous effort to improve member benefits.

The 10 millionth member, who will be notified later this month, will receive an upgrade to Platinum status. This tier, usually requiring 125,000 Tier Miles, offers exclusive perks that cater to frequent travelers, making their journeys more comfortable and rewarding.

This milestone coincides with Etihad’s 20th anniversary, a testament to the airline’s dedication to providing exceptional service and reflecting its Emirati heritage. Since its launch in 2006, the Etihad Guest program has grown to include a global community of travelers, particularly strong in regions like the UAE, India, the UK, the USA, and Australia.

Etihad Guest has recently introduced several enhancements to offer a more personalized travel experience. Members start at the Bronze Tier, enjoying benefits such as complimentary onboard Wi-Fi. As members travel more frequently, they progress through the tiers, gaining access to additional benefits like extra baggage allowances, priority check-in, and bonus miles.

Furthermore, the program now allows members to customize their travel benefits. Options such as additional luggage or preferred seat selection can be chosen based on the member’s tier. For the most dedicated travelers, higher tiers offer special perks, and the new Diamond Tier recognizes top spenders with exclusive, tailor-made benefits.
