Etihad Airways Expands Flight Frequencies to Major Destinations
In a strategic move to cater to growing customer demand, Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has announced a significant increase in flight frequencies to several key destinations across the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. This expansion, amounting to almost a 27% increase in weekly departures compared to last summer, marks a substantial enhancement in the airline's services.
Commencing in the summer of 2024, Etihad Airways will augment its flight schedules to cities including Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, Beirut in Lebanon, as well as to Colombo in Sri Lanka, Kolkata, and Bangalore in India. These additional flights are part of Etihad’s broader effort to expand its flight frequencies and destinations, thereby strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation hub and providing more versatile travel options for its passengers.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline's commitment to offering flexible travel solutions. “These latest flight increases, aligned with our seamless connections at Abu Dhabi and our expanding global network, offer our guests more opportunities to travel at their convenience," he said.
