Etihad Airways will increase its Paris service this summer, adding a second daily Airbus A380 flight between Abu Dhabi and Charles de Gaulle. From 1 July, the airline will operate three daily flights on the route, with two using the double-decker A380 and one served by a Boeing 787-9. Paris will join a small group of Etihad destinations with double-daily A380 service.

The expanded schedule is aimed at business and leisure demand, with morning and afternoon departures out of Zayed Abu Dhabi International Airport. Etihad says the extra capacity will strengthen travel between the UAE capital and France, while giving passengers more choice on a busy summer route. The Boeing 787-9 service will add First, Business and Economy cabins alongside the two A380 flights.

The A380 operation will also put Etihad’s most premium cabins on the Paris route more often. The aircraft includes The Residence, described by the airline as the only three-room suite in commercial aviation, as well as First Apartments, Business and Economy seating. Etihad’s chief revenue and commercial officer Arik De said the move shows confidence in Paris as a major travel market.

With three daily flights, Paris becomes easier to plan for UAE-based visitors who want more flexibility around arrival times, premium cabins or onward European travel. The route supports trips built around the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Versailles and summer events across the French capital. People connecting via Abu Dhabi also get better access to Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Asian routes.

This is more than an aircraft swap, because frequency changes how useful a route feels. Two daily A380 flights give Paris a stronger place in Etihad’s premium network, while the third daily service keeps choice wider across cabins. The main win is practical: more seats, more timings and a better chance of finding a flight that fits the trip.
