Emirates Unveils New Destinations for Refurbished Boeing 777

Emirates has announced the first cities to be served by its newly refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft. Starting today, flights to Geneva, Tokyo Haneda, and Brussels will feature the airline’s upgraded cabins, including the introduction of its Premium Economy and next-generation Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.

Flights on the revamped Boeing 777 to these destinations are now available for booking via the Emirates website, app, or through travel agents. This move allows more customers to experience the airline's enhanced in-flight services and amenities.

The first refurbished Boeing 777 flights are scheduled for Geneva on August 11, Tokyo Haneda on September 1, and Brussels on September 11. Each aircraft will undergo a comprehensive interior facelift, including the installation of 38 new Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy Class seats. The updated Business Class features personalized privacy, 20.7-inch wide seats that convert to flat beds, and a 23-inch HD screen for in-flight entertainment.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the significance of this upgrade, stating that the retrofit program brings a consistent, high-quality experience across both the Boeing 777 and A380 fleets. The refurbished cabins draw inspiration from the airline's flagship A380, ensuring top-tier customer comfort and modern design details.

In total, 81 Boeing 777 aircraft will be refurbished as part of Emirates' extensive retrofit program, with more destinations to be announced in the coming months. This initiative is part of a larger investment exceeding $3 billion, aimed at revamping 191 aircraft to deliver exceptional in-flight products and customer experiences.

Currently, Emirates operates its refurbished A380 aircraft with Premium Economy to numerous global destinations, including New York, London, Sydney, and Tokyo. By February 2025, the airline plans to serve over 36 cities with Premium Economy, further enhancing its fleet with the addition of A350 aircraft and more refurbished A380s and Boeing 777s.
