Starting September 3, 2024, Emirates will initiate flights to Madagascar, enhancing travel options and connectivity for passengers. The new route will feature four weekly flights between Dubai (DXB) and Antananarivo (TNR), with a stopover in the Seychelles, aimed at boosting both leisure and business travel to Madagascar.

The scheduled flights will depart from Dubai to the Seychelles at 8:55 AM, arriving in Mahe at 1:35 PM, before continuing to Antananarivo, landing at 4:50 PM. Return flights will depart from Antananarivo at 6:35 PM, reaching Mahe at 10:20 PM, and then take off from Mahe at 11:50 PM to arrive in Dubai at 4:20 AM the next day. The flights will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, allowing travelers to explore both the Seychelles and Madagascar conveniently.

This new route will significantly enhance Madagascar’s international travel connections, optimizing links to key regions in Europe, the Far East, West Asia, and the Middle East. Emirates aims to support Madagascar's tourism sector, which plays a crucial role in the country's economy by creating numerous job opportunities and aiming to attract one million tourists by 2028.

Emirates’ new service will connect over 140 destinations in its global network, in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s strategy to diversify target markets and showcase Madagascar's natural attractions. Discussions with Air Madagascar are also underway to expand global connectivity further, promoting tourism and trade.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of providing efficient connectivity and premium travel experiences to Madagascar, a destination growing in popularity for its unique ecotourism offerings. He expressed confidence that the new route will enhance Madagascar’s connectivity and international business opportunities.

Known as the world’s fourth largest island, Madagascar offers stunning natural beauty, including UNESCO World Heritage sites, diverse wildlife, and numerous adventure activities. The island promotes ecotourism to protect its unique environment, ensuring that visitors can enjoy its natural wonders sustainably.
