Emirates is to hire 5,000 flight attendants for its new Airbus A350 aircraft by the end of the year
Due to the inevitable growth of its fleet, Emirates intends to hire 5,000 cabin crew by the end of 2024. The staff will be selected through an open recruitment day in more than 460 cities around the world.
The new employees are expected to take their jobs serving passengers on Boeing 777X and Boeing 787 aircraft, as well as 65 new Airbus A350 aircraft to be delivered to the company within a year. Simple Flying reported that in addition to the new aircraft to arrive this year, Emirates Dubai expects to receive up to 205 new Boeing 777X aircraft in 2025.
It is emphasized that this year the airline is targeting professionals who are just starting out in the profession. At the same time, each candidate for the position of flight attendant is subject to certain selection criteria, namely: fluency in English (additional language skills will be a privilege), at least 1 year of work in the hospitality or service sector, at least 160 cm tall and meet the requirements for obtaining a visa to the United Arab Emirates.
"The new employees will be part of the world's largest international airline and one of the most recognized brands, and will learn hospitality and life skills from the best trainers in the industry. In addition, they will travel the world through more than 140 cities in 76 countries and enjoy all the benefits of being an Emirates flight attendant," Emirates said in a statement.
