Emirates Enhances Global Operations with Strategic Appointments
Emirates has recently announced a significant reorganization within its commercial operations teams across Europe, Africa, and East Asia, aiming to bolster its expansion and operational efficiency. These changes, effective immediately, come at a time when the airline is navigating a complex landscape of market opportunities and industry challenges.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline's commitment to nurturing UAE National talent. The move strategically places six emerging leaders in key positions across various markets, enhancing their capacity to drive the airline's goals in the short, medium, and long term. This initiative reflects Emirates' dedication to leadership development and its proactive approach to career progression within its ranks.
The new appointments include Mohammed Alqassim transitioning from Country Manager in Cyprus to the same role in Cambodia, and Ahmad Tamim moving from the Ivory Coast to Cyprus. Adnan Almarzooqi has been appointed as the Country Manager for the Ivory Coast, succeeding his role in South Africa. Meanwhile, Mohamed Taher will take over as Manager in Uganda, Sultan Alriyami as Area Manager in Hong Kong, and Nasser Bahlooq will move from Hong Kong to manage operations in Taiwan.
These changes are part of Emirates' broader commercial outstation program, which is designed to develop the skills and expertise of UAE Nationals by exposing them to different roles within the company's global network. This program not only supports professional growth but also aims to foster long-term relationships with business partners and stakeholders worldwide, thereby strengthening the airline's international presence and operational capabilities.
