Emirates Doubles Premium Economy Service on Melbourne-Dubai Route
Emirates, the world's largest international airline, has announced a substantial enhancement to its service offerings with the addition of a second Premium Economy service between Melbourne and Dubai, commencing on February 1, 2024. This expansion follows the successful debut of Emirates' Premium Economy from Melbourne in April 2023, demonstrating the airline's commitment to offering a superior travel experience flights.
The decision to introduce this additional service is a direct response to the overwhelming positive reception of the Premium Economy cabin on the daily EK406 and EK407 services. With this expansion, Emirates will now provide close to 800 weekly Premium Economy seats on the Melbourne-Dubai route. This increase signifies the airline's dedication to meeting the evolving demands of travelers and reinforcing its presence in the Australian market.
The Premium Economy cabin is renowned for its distinctive offering in the airline industry. It features luxurious cream leather seats with wood veneer, a generous baggage allowance, and an exceptional dining experience, all catered to by a dedicated team of Cabin Crew. This service expansion further reinforces Emirates' commitment to delivering a unique and comfortable travel experience to its passengers.
With the introduction of this additional service, Emirates cements its position as a leading provider of premium travel experiences to the Australian market. The airline is set to offer around 3200 seats weekly across its Australian routes, including two daily services each from Sydney and Melbourne. The additional Premium Economy service is part of Emirates' extensive retrofit program, which involves outfitting a total of 126 aircraft, including 67 A380s and 53 Boeing 777s, with Premium Economy cabins. Currently, 22 A380s are already equipped with this luxurious cabin.
