Egyptian travel: which visits they prefer
Each country has its own peculiarities when it comes to road travel, and a recent survey has shed light on the travel habits and preferences of Egyptians. In particular, the survey revealed a strong emphasis on family ties.
Moreover, 60% of respondents noted family visits as the main reason for long-distance travel. This trend is especially noticeable during the holidays, when family gatherings become a priority, writes Daily News Egypt.
At the same time, 46% of respondents named tourism as a reason for travel. Business travel accounts for another 24%. The survey also emphasizes the Egyptians' preference for spontaneity when planning their trips. It turned out that about 85% plan their trips within a few days or even on the same day.
When it comes to transportation, buses (53%) remain the most popular choice. They are followed by trains (37%) and private cars (20%). Interestingly, 16% of respondents use a car or taxi for long-distance travel.
In addition, safety (64%), comfort (55%), and price (55%) are equally important factors for Egyptians when choosing a mode of transportation. Also, 23% prefer a convenient schedule or boarding time.
Experts note that the results of the study show a balance between spontaneity, established travel habits and the paramount importance of safety and comfort of local residents. "As Egyptians prepare to travel, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey, especially during family reunions, is crucial," the study concludes.
