The beloved ice cream shop in Edinburgh is closing for six weeks
Edinburgh's favorite ice cream shop, which often sees customers queuing up even in winter, is to close for more than a month. The Mary's Milk team in Grassmarket announced the news on social media.
The store is scheduled to close until mid-February while the staff takes a break and, more noticeably, undergoes a "major renovation" in the kitchen, where the magic happens. In the post, the store team also thanked customers for their support over the past ten years. This was reported by edinburghlive.co.uk.
The store has earned a reputation for the most delicious ice cream in the capital, and customers often wait in long lines to try Mary's exotic flavors, such as white chocolate and thyme, gingerbread cookies, and recently, cinnamon, apple, and ginger.
On Instagram, they posted: "We did it! Thank you to everyone who has shown their support not only today or this year, but over the past ten years! We are very lucky to have such wonderful customers, you are all just gems - a big thank you to those who brought us Christmas cards, homemade cookies, and wine on our last day before Christmas!"
