The route brings Budapest back to Belfast International’s network and gives Northern Ireland a direct winter link to Hungary. Flights will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays, making the schedule suitable for a long weekend, a four-night stay or a short pre-Christmas trip without changing planes through another UK or European airport.
Budapest is a strong fit for a short winter visit because several major sights sit close enough to combine in one trip. Visitors can plan days around Buda Castle, the Hungarian Parliament, Danube river walks, food halls and ruin bars, then add Széchenyi or Gellért baths without needing a long itinerary.
The service is most useful for Northern Ireland travellers planning a three- or four-night Budapest break rather than a rushed overnight stay. Before booking, they should compare flight-only fares with easyJet holidays packages, check whether the flight days fit hotel dates, and choose accommodation close to the Danube, Castle District or main thermal baths.
