Direct Dubai–Budapest Flights Return This Week
flydubai is restoring direct flights between Dubai and Budapest after a break, reconnecting Hungary with the airline’s hub at Dubai International. The service returns as the carrier continues to build its presence in Central and Eastern Europe. It will also give Budapest passengers access to flydubai’s wider network of more than 120 destinations, including onward options across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

The service will operate under flydubai’s partnership with Emirates, giving passengers access to both carriers’ wider networks on eligible itineraries. Emirates Skywards members can collect and redeem Miles across the two airlines, while the route will be flown by flydubai’s Boeing 737 aircraft in Economy and Business Class. Travellers should check fare conditions carefully, as baggage, meals and seat selection can vary by ticket type.
The direct flight also gives Budapest-based travellers easier access to destinations that previously required an extra European or Gulf connection. Popular onward options include the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Oman and Kenya, while Dubai itself works well as a short stopover. The late-evening departure from Budapest may suit overnight journeys, with arrival in Dubai early enough to connect to many morning services.
At first, the three weekly departures will suit longer stays better than spontaneous weekend trips, since travel dates must match the Wednesday, Friday and Sunday timetable. The move to daily flights in late October will give travellers much more choice. Anyone booking the lowest fare should still compare baggage, meals and connection times before paying, especially when the journey continues beyond Dubai.
