Delta Air Lines Boosts New York-Buenos Aires Route with Airbus A330neo
In a significant development for international travelers, according to simpleflying, Delta Air Lines has announced the extension of its daily flights between New York City and Buenos Aires through early June 2024. This extension, derived from Cirium data, marks a strategic move in Delta's operations, as the airline transitions to using the Airbus A330neo for this popular route.
Delta's service, connecting John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York with Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, was initially scheduled to conclude in early May. However, recent updates show a daily service extension well into June. The current operation, flight DL-115 from New York to Buenos Aires, departs at 21:10 local time and arrives the next day at around 10:15 local time. The return flight, DL-114, leaves Buenos Aires at 22:25 and lands in New York at approximately 07:25 the following day.
Until now, Delta has been operating this route using the Boeing 767-400ER, accommodating 238 passengers across four classes. The impending shift to the Airbus A330neo is a notable upgrade, offering increased capacity with 281 seats, divided into 29 Delta One suites, 28 Delta Premium Select, 56 Delta Comfort+, and 168 standard economy seats. This aircraft change not only enhances passenger comfort but also aligns with Delta's commitment to modernizing its fleet.
The Airbus A330neo, known for its efficiency and comfort, has been increasingly incorporated into Delta's global operations. In the past year alone, Delta has launched several services with this aircraft, including routes from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport to Tokyo Haneda International Airport and from Los Angeles International Airport to London Heathrow International Airport.
This latest extension and aircraft upgrade on the New York-Buenos Aires route reflect Delta's ongoing efforts to enhance its service offerings. The Airbus A330neo's deployment on this route is expected to offer passengers a superior travel experience, boasting advanced features and improved environmental performance. As Delta continues to expand its A330neo fleet, customers can look forward to more such upgrades, signifying the airline's dedication to providing top-notch services on its international routes.
