According to them, staying vigilant is key, especially at times when attention may be diverted to other circumstances. It is advisable to store larger bags in lockers near your seat to keep a close eye on them. At the same time, for valuable items such as passports, cash, and phones, it is best to use secure belt bags or carry them in your pocket.

Passengers are also reminded that while it may be tempting to leave their belongings with a trusted fellow traveler, it is better not to leave them unattended at all and to keep them in sight at all times. Simple safety rules not only minimize the risk of theft but also ensure that insurance requirements are met.

At the same time, if a traveler does become a victim of a thief, they should immediately report the incident to their airline and local police. Tourists should make sure to collect all the necessary evidence if they want to file an insurance claim for reimbursement.
