Cruises expect record number of travelers in 2024
Next year could be one of the most profitable for tour operators and cruise business owners. American cruise operators and travel agents report that travelers have booked more seats for next year than before the global crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The likely reason for this may be their availability, as well as a wider range of services and entertainment. However, given the demand in the coming months, popular operators are already planning to raise prices, Yahoo! Finance reports.
According to Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty, today's demand is significantly higher than in 2019. Meanwhile, the Cruise Lines International Association reported an expected 6% increase in passengers compared to 2019. Thus, about 35.7 million passengers will set sail.
At the same time, as demand is growing sharply and the volume is overcrowded, we should expect to postpone bookings due to lack of seats.
