Cruise Lines Adjust Routes Amid Hurricane Beryl

Cruise lines are adjusting their Caribbean itineraries as Hurricane Beryl moves through the region. Carnival Cruise Line announced on Tuesday that it is altering the courses of two active cruises, Carnival Horizon and Carnival Liberty.

Carnival Horizon, initially scheduled to dock at Grand Cayman on July 3, canceled its visit. The planned stop in Cozumel, Mexico, on July 4 was replaced with a visit to Nassau, Bahamas, on July 5. Carnival Liberty also changed its schedule, moving its visit to Cozumel from July 5 to an earlier date to avoid the hurricane's path.

Carnival emphasized that the safety of guests and crew is their top priority. They are closely monitoring weather forecasts and receiving guidance from the National Hurricane Center, U.S. Coast Guard, and local port authorities to keep guests informed and ensure their safety.

Norwegian Cruise Line has similarly adjusted routes for Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Breakaway. These cruises canceled stops in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Belize, Cozumel, and Costa Maya in Mexico. Norwegian Jade's itinerary was modified to avoid the storm, prioritizing safer destinations and altering its course to mitigate potential risks.

As Hurricane Beryl continues to impact the Caribbean, cruise lines are taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members. Both Carnival and Norwegian are committed to providing timely updates and maintaining communication with travelers throughout these changes.
