Courchevel Lines Up Two New Alpine Hotels
Courchevel 1850 is set for two major luxury hotel additions, with Raffles and One&Only both planning new Alpine resorts in the French ski destination. The high-altitude village is known for direct ski access, boutique shopping, winter sports and fine dining. The new projects will add more hotel and residence options in one of the French Alps’ most expensive ski areas.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts plans to open Raffles Courchevel during the 2028 winter season, marking the brand’s first Alpine resort. The property is being developed with Art de Vivre. Some rooms are planned with private balconies overlooking the Tarentaise Valley.

What Is Planned
- Raffles Courchevel: expected in winter 2028, with restaurants, terraces, winter gardens, a tea lounge, spa, pool and fitness areas;
- One&Only Courchevel: planned for 2030, with guest rooms, suites, wellness areas, recovery facilities and a limited number of private homes.
Both properties are planned for Jardin Alpin, one of the highest and most sought-after areas of Courchevel 1850.
One&Only’s project will be built on the former site of the Courcheneige Hotel, near Raffles Courchevel. The resort is set to include slope-side dining, après-ski spaces, indoor and outdoor wet areas, thermal experiences, treatment rooms, beauty services and post-ski recovery facilities for guests staying in the mountains.
The openings could give skiers and winter visitors more choice in the upper part of Courchevel, especially those looking beyond traditional chalet stays or lower-altitude villages. The location keeps guests near the wider Three Valleys ski area, restaurants, shops and mountain viewpoints. This is clearly a high-end travel story, but it still signals more choice in a tightly packed Alpine market.
