Butlin’s Turns Three UK Resorts Into Halloween Scaregrounds
Butlin’s is turning its Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness resorts into Halloween-themed breaks throughout October 2026. Spooktober stays start from £39 for a family of four, while October half-term breaks start from £49. The programme mixes Halloween shows with late-night fairground sessions, swimming and children’s activities, making it a short-break option rather than simply a ticketed Halloween event.
New for 2026 is Skyline Gang Monster Mash Up, where audiences choose the show’s scariest performer. The programme also includes the Eerily Silent Disco and Scareground, with rides running after dark among fog, lights and Halloween characters. During October half-term, families also get a Ghoul Pool Party and fireworks, while pumpkin carving is available as a paid extra.

Getting there differs by resort. Bognor Regis is roughly an hour by train from London Victoria, although some services require a change at Barnham. For Minehead, the nearest railway station is Taunton, followed by bus 28 to the resort. Skegness is around three miles from its railway station, with local buses available. Minehead also puts Dunster Castle and the West Somerset Railway within easy reach.
The lowest fares depend on the date, resort, accommodation and a four-person booking, so £39 should not be treated as the price of every Spooktober stay. This works best for families planning to use the entertainment already included in the break.
