A travel expert has revealed a little-known Japanese tourist destination that is ideal for foreigners looking for tranquility and authentic atmosphere. Such a place in the Land of the Rising Sun is Awaji Island.
It has been called "one of the newest tourist destinations". In his article for the Express, the expert said that he spent an unforgettable time there, filled with incredible landscapes and acquaintance with exotic culture.
Already on the way to the island from Osaka, visitors are greeted by endless sea spaces that are a pleasure to admire.
The tourist was exposed to Japanese unique knowledge about the well-being practices of the country's inhabitants, which can contribute to a long life. As you know, the Japanese live to be over 80 years old on average.
Among the places to visit is the authentic Zenbo Seinei Hotel, which is a wooden structure that hangs over the forest.
"If you're looking for a place to dine on Awaji Island, I would recommend Haru San San, a farm-to-table restaurant. I also loved Honpukuji Island Water Temple, an incredibly peaceful Buddhist temple with a breathtaking water fountain filled with lotus flowers," the travel expert said.
Visitors traveling to the island with their families were advised to visit the Hello Kitty-style park with a giant statue of Godzilla.
