Airbus Helicopters Celebrates Success at Heli-Expo 2024 with 155 Commitments
Airbus Helicopters has successfully concluded its participation in the 2024 Heli-Expo, announcing a remarkable 155 commitments, including 40 firm orders, showcasing its leadership and innovation in the multi-mission helicopter sector. This year's expo highlighted a historic deal with THC for up to 120 helicopters, signifying Airbus's dominance, especially in the helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) market.
The Heli-Expo 2024 served as a pivotal platform for Airbus Helicopters, not only for securing orders but also for reinforcing its position as a frontrunner in HEMS. The notable agreement with THC encompasses a firm order for 8 H125s and 10 H145s, emphasizing the versatility and reliability of Airbus's fleet. Additionally, DRF Luftrettung's commitment to acquiring up to 10 H145s and HealthNet Aeromedical Services' addition of four H135s to its all-Airbus lineup underscore the brand's significant impact on aerial medical services.
The event also spotlighted orders from diverse sectors, with Niagara Helicopters opting for six H130s for tourism operations, and Bristow's investment in up to 15 H135s catering to the energy sector's demands. Furthermore, Airbus Helicopters and LCI's twin partnerships aim to explore the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) market and address the industry's sustainability and financial challenges, marking a step forward in innovation and strategic growth.

On the support and services front, significant announcements included an HCare contract for Air Center Helicopters’ 18 H225s and a similar agreement for the Czech Republic’s DSA covering eight H135 helicopters. The partnership with GPMS and the integration of its HUMS solution into Airbus Helicopters’ FlyScan service are set to elevate operational efficiency and proactive support for operators.
Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, Airbus Helicopters showcased demo flights with an H145 and an H125 using 30% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), underlining the company's dedication to environmental stewardship.
