AirAsia Ride and MyRapid PULSE Join Forces to Boost LRT Connectivity in Klang Valley
In an exciting development for public transport users in the Klang Valley, AirAsia Ride has teamed up with Prasarana Malaysia Berhad to offer a new, more economical travel option for LRT passengers. This collaboration was officially inaugurated by Nadia Omer, CEO of AirAsia MOVE, and Fa’izah Khairuddin, Chief Executive Officer of Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn Bhd (PRIDE), at the Putra Heights LRT Station, marking a significant step towards enhancing the region's public transportation ecosystem.
Through this strategic partnership, users of the MyRapid PULSE Journey Planner App (PULSE) can now effortlessly book rides to and from all 24 LRT stations along the Kelana Jaya and Ampang/Sri Permai lines directly through the app, integrating their journey with the convenience of the AirAsia Superapp. In addition to the ease of booking, passengers can enjoy significant savings with up to RM4 daily discounts on their rides, using specific promo codes tailored for each LRT station.
Lim Chiew Shan, Regional CEO of AirAsia Ride, expressed pride in this initiative, highlighting the decades-long service of the LRT system in facilitating commuter movement across the Klang Valley. He emphasized AirAsia Ride's commitment to enhancing the public transport system by offering safer and more value-driven travel options for the daily commute to and from LRT stations.
Echoing this sentiment, Pn. Fa’izah Khairuddin underscored the partnership's role in advancing the broader goal of promoting public transport use, in alignment with the Government's vision to achieve a 40% public transportation modal share by 2030.
