Air Arabia Unveils Direct Flights to Athens, Enhancing UAE-Greece Connectivity
Sharjah, UAE, January 25, 2024: Air Arabia, a leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced a major expansion in its European network with the introduction of direct flights to Athens, Greece. This new route, linking Sharjah International Airport with Athens International Airport, is set to begin on June 28th, 2024, marking a significant step in Air Arabia's efforts to foster global travel accessibility.
The inaugural schedule for the Sharjah-Athens route, operational from June 28th, includes four weekly flights. These flights will utilize the Airbus A320, departing from Sharjah at 09:00 and arriving in Athens at 13:05 every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The return flight, G9 685, will leave Athens at 13:55 and reach Sharjah at 19:50 on the same days.
This development is more than just an addition to Air Arabia's extensive flight network. It represents an important facilitator for both business and leisure travel, strengthening economic and cultural exchanges between the UAE and Greece. Additionally, the flights will feature 'SkyTime', a complimentary in-flight streaming service, allowing travelers to enjoy a wide range of entertainment on their personal devices. The onboard 'SkyCafe' menu offers an assortment of snacks, meals, and sandwiches at reasonable prices.
