A Delta Air Lines passenger had to be strapped to his seat because of his terrible behavior and aggression towards passengers
A Dutch passenger on Delta Air Lines was tied to his seat with seat belt extensions and handcuffed with flexible handcuffs during a 10-hour flight from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City. This happened after he spat on other passengers, fought and repeatedly grabbed female seatmates.
Darnell Silver Collins, who is also a US citizen, was charged with assault and intimidation of flight attendants and passengers. This was reported by PYOK.
An affidavit filed with a federal court in Utah describes that Collins began to disrupt public order an hour after the flight began, when he began to tap on other passengers' arms without permission.
At one point, he decided to grab and touch his neighbors, not responding to their comments and requests to stop.
In an effort to protect passengers from Collins, flight attendants cleared eight seats around him, but the Dutchman kept turning around and talking aggressively to people sitting in the rows behind him.
Eventually, the flight attendants moved him to the end of the cabin, where they had previously disembarked 8 other passengers, and then tied him up and kept an eye on the aggressive tourist throughout the flight.
One of the flight attendants told law enforcement that she felt unsafe around the passenger, and other witnesses confirmed her words.
Delta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
